ARC Review: Ocean's Bride

Book Title: Ocean's Bride

Author: Demelza Carlton

Series: Sirens of War, Book 3

Published: February 22nd, 2021

Synopsis:

Finally reunited with the man she loves, Maria agrees to become his wife. At first, being a bride on Christmas Island seems like a dream come true, but with all eyes upon her, even Maria begins to wonder if she has what it takes to be a society wife. And the ocean’s siren call is growing stronger…

All Maria wants is to live happily ever after with her husband. But between the crazed crabs, a mysterious illness and a monstrous shark, Maria may need all her skills as a siren to succeed.

Can one woman oppose the ocean and win?

4 Brilliant Stars!

I really enjoyed Maria’s and William’s reunion here. Maria has now accepted a new life as William’s wife but also as a human. Not realising she has so much to learn as a high society wife now, she has many self-doubts and concerns about her future with William. I particularly enjoyed how Demelza wrote about Maria’s insecurities but also how confident she is she can nail it.

This book is filled with passion but also great tension between her life as a siren and her life as a human. I do hope we get to explore more about her life as a siren in the next book. Especially with her mother trying to get her back to the ocean. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to finishing this series.

Received a copy from the author herself for an honest review and this does not affect my review or rating of the book thank you!

See you next time!
