Review: A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Thank you to Jennifer L Armentrout for allowing me to read an ARC of this book, and allowing me to be apart of the Instagram tour! All thought and opinions in this review are MINE!

”Beauty, my sweet child, is often broken and barbed, and always unexpected."

I’ve been waiting since March for this book and my god, it was certainly worth the wait. There was a small part of me that thought ”Could it really gets any better than book one?” The answer?? YES!

Starting exactly where we left off in From Blood and Ash, the book reels you in and keeps you hooked from page one!

We learn so much more about the Atlantans, Ascendeds, Vamprys, and we’re even introduced to new species that you’ll find intriguing.

Poppy is realizing so much about herself and I loved reading every minute of it. She has been through so much and her character growth in this book was phenomenal. Her like able personality and relatable inner thoughts from book one were still present in this one and I was so happy about it!

Casteel.. Hawke.. Whatever you choose to call him, my god! I seriously didn’t think my obsession with him could get any bigger but I was seriously wrong! His banter with poppy, the way he defends her, when he fights, seeing all the good he’s done (and does), his charm, and let’s not forget his DIRTY TALK, were all enhanced by at least 10 in this book! Jennifer, I thank you for giving us Casteel!

The action, the fights were so perfect I felt like I was watching a movie at times! And there were a few scenes that seriously destroyed me. Even now I’m still feeling it. The ending was so intense! I have so many questions and the last 4 pages left me with serious goosebumps!

To sum it up, Jennifer has done it again! I need book 3 now!
